Stephanie Powell has been coaching with Texas Coastal since they started in 2007. She has coached different levels of ages for the club. Over the past years, Powell has been involved with all aspects of the program, including assisting other coaches, private lessons, and summer camps. She has coached different sports while working at Baytown Junior High School since 2001-2011 volleyball, basketball, and track.
During Stephanie Powell High School years, she has earned many awards in all sports including
volleyball, basketball, and track while playing for Aldine High School. She was highly recruited
for many colleges but decided to stay close to home. She signed with Lee College in 1991-1992 as an all-around player. She was named to the All-Conference, All-Region and All-American team. After Lee College, Powell received a full scholarship to Houston Baptist University(HBU) to continue playing volleyball. Her first year of playing, she won the title of All-District Player. After leaving HBU, Powell starting playing Semi-Pro Women Basketball for a team in Houston named Houston Raven during 1995-1996.
